Entertainment Industry Mourns the Loss of Shefali Jariwala
Mumbai, June 28: The entertainment world is in mourning following the unexpected passing of actress Shefali Jariwala, who reportedly died from a cardiac arrest on Friday. This tragic event is not isolated, as several actors have succumbed to heart-related issues at a young age.
Notably, Sidharth Shukla, a co-contestant of Shefali on the 13th season of 'Bigg Boss', passed away in 2021 at the age of 40 due to a heart attack. He was also known to be her former partner.
Another actor, Deepesh Bhan, recognized for his role in 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!', died in 2022 at 41, also from a heart attack.
In 2021, Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar tragically lost his life at 46 due to a heart attack.
Internationally, stars like Brittany Murphy and Cass Elliot faced similar fates, both passing away from heart attacks at the young age of 32. Murphy died on December 20, 2009, while Elliot's death occurred in 1974, reportedly worsened by her battle with obesity.
Following Shefali's death, many from the entertainment community expressed their condolences. Playback singer Mika Singh was among the first to react, sharing his sorrow on Instagram, stating, “I'm deeply shocked, saddened, and feeling a heavy heart. Our beloved dear friend @shefalijariwala has left us.”
Actor Aly Goni shared a heartfelt tribute on his Instagram Stories, posting a picture of Shefali with the caption, “RIP Shefali.” He later tweeted, “Shocked and saddened to hear about Shefali Jariwala’s sudden demise. Life is so unpredictable. Rest in peace.”
Karishma Tanna also expressed her grief on Instagram, stating, “Heavy heart. This is unbelievable!! Gone too soon.”
Celebrity chef Kunal Kapur paid tribute by sharing a photo of Shefali, writing, “Life is so fragile. Just forgive and forget. Hug those who you love and spend time being happy with the ones you care for. Shocked & saddened over this horrible news of Shefali passing away.”
Actor Paras Chhabra mourned her loss by sharing a photo with Shefali, captioning it, “Kiski zindagi kitni likhi hai koi nahi janta. Om Shanti.”
Shefali's husband, Parag Tyagi, reportedly rushed her to a hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, where she was declared dead on arrival. Her body has been taken to Cooper Hospital for necessary formalities, and a postmortem has been conducted.
