Bollywood star Tiger Shroff will not participate in the upcoming Durand Cup 2026 match for Mumbay FC against Nongkseh SS&CC in Shillong on Tuesday. His last-minute withdrawal is attributed to work commitments.

According to reports from Olympics.com, the 36-year-old actor, who had registered to play in his team's inaugural Durand Cup 2026 campaign, confirmed his absence in a video shared by the club. He was initially set to travel to Shillong for the match at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

"It's really unfortunate, but a work commitment has arisen unexpectedly, so I won't be able to make it to Shillong for the Durand Cup," Shroff stated in a video on Mumbay FC's Instagram account. "I was eagerly anticipating playing for Mumbay FC, but sadly, I cannot attend. Best of luck to everyone participating. The tournament has been fantastic. Good luck, Mumbay FC. Go for it, boys!" he concluded.

Mumbay FC is set to face Nongkseh in their final group match after suffering defeats in their first two games against Langsning FC and Shillong Lajong, both ending in 5-0 losses.

Tiger Shroff's Football and Acting Journey

Tiger Shroff, the son of renowned actor Jackie Shroff and producer Ayesha Shroff, is celebrated for his roles in action films, as well as his dancing and fitness skills.
