The much-anticipated film, Jana Nayagan, featuring Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, has officially premiered in cinemas. Directed by H Vinoth, this political action thriller was originally set to debut on January 9 but faced delays due to certification hurdles from the Central Board of Film Certification. In a recent discussion with a magazine, Bobby Deol shared insights about collaborating with the actor-politician in this project, revealing that the film was predominantly shot in a studio setting. Bobby stars alongside notable actors such as Thalapathy Vijay, Mamitha Baiju, Pooja Hegde, and Prakash Raj.

In an interview with a media outlet, Bobby Deol expressed that his experience on Jana Nayagan was quite unique. He mentioned facing challenges in understanding the crew's conversations due to language differences, but director H Vinoth ensured he was kept in the loop. Bobby noted that the director's assistant also provided him with necessary explanations.

He praised his co-star, CM Vijay, and explained the reason behind the film being primarily shot in studios. Bobby recounted asking about the filming locations, to which he was informed that shooting outside was not feasible due to Vijay's prominence. He described Vijay as a humble and reserved individual.

Bobby further remarked, "It's true that no filming can occur if you take him out in public. He is that significant." He also highlighted that Vijay prefers to keep a low profile, avoiding excessive promotions or interviews. Reflecting on a conversation with Vijay, Bobby mentioned that the Jana Nayagan star had discussed the possibility of remaking his Bollywood film Soldier. Notably, Prabhu Deva's Villu, featuring Vijay and Nayanthara, was a remake of Soldier, released in 2009.
