Thalapathy Vijay is poised to take the oath of office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on May 10. In anticipation of this significant event, actress Trisha Krishnan was spotted arriving at Chennai’s Nehru Stadium, radiating excitement. This ceremony follows the Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar's invitation to Vijay to establish the government after his official appointment. The Governor has also requested that Vijay demonstrate his majority in the Assembly by May 13. Trisha, accompanied by her mother, Uma Krishnan, took a moment to engage with the media, expressing her eagerness for what she described as a “momentous day for Tamil Nadu.”

Upon her arrival, Trisha was seen greeting the crowd and received a warm welcome from Archana Kalpathi, CEO of AGS Entertainment, who embraced her. She looked stunning in a green saree complemented by a gold blouse, enhancing her traditional attire with jasmine flowers in her hair and elegant jewelry.

As she left her home in Chennai, Trisha shared a few words with reporters, smiling as she expressed, “Thank you, looking forward,” when asked about her thoughts on this historic event, as captured in visuals shared by various media outlets.

Vijay’s political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), made a remarkable entrance in its first electoral contest, disrupting Tamil Nadu’s long-standing political landscape that has been dominated by Dravidian parties for over sixty years. The party achieved a notable victory, securing 108 seats in the 234-seat Assembly, establishing itself as a significant new player. This outcome signifies a considerable change in the state's political environment, which has traditionally been led by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).

Trisha also highlighted that throughout her two-decade career, her longest on-screen partnership has been with Vijay. Notably, she had previously shared a post inspired by Ghilli featuring a whistle symbol, which the Election Commission of India (ECI) assigned to Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), for the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
