Currently, Wangchuk is on Day 19 of his indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. His health has raised alarms as he is under constant medical supervision. Reports indicate that he has lost 8.9 kg, bringing his weight down to 57.15 kg. His blood pressure and blood sugar levels are being closely monitored. Despite the deterioration in his health and a legal request for permission to force-feed him, Wangchuk has chosen to continue his fast. He mentioned that while he is not in great shape, he is also not in a critical condition. He has invited supporters to join him on July 20 for a peaceful march to Parliament instead of urging him to end his fast.
