She accused him of stalking, harassment, and assault. The police have registered the case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Reports indicate that the 29-year-old actor was apprehended at his home in Dahisar on Friday, July 10, and subsequently presented before a special POCSO court, where he was remanded to police custody for further investigation.

As per reports, the minor's family lodged a complaint stating that Chandel had been persistently contacting her on her personal phone and other numbers, causing her significant distress. The complaint also alleges that on July 5, he confronted the girl near her home in Mumbai's eastern suburbs.

Chandel faces serious charges, including stalking, verbal abuse, and physical assault, as he allegedly hit the girl. The police have invoked Section 78 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for stalking and Section 115(2) for causing hurt, in addition to the POCSO Act.
