'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups' is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, who also directs the film. The cast features prominent actresses such as Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasant, and Tara Sutaria, who will portray the character Rebecca. The first look of Tara's character was revealed on January 3, with Geetu Mohandas expressing her protective instincts towards Tara, highlighting her calm demeanor and the safety net she creates for herself.
Release Date for 'Toxic'
Initially, 'Toxic' was scheduled for release on March 19, coinciding with the release of Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar 2'. However, the release date was postponed, avoiding a direct competition with 'Dhurandhar 2'. Recently, the release date has been pushed back again, and the film will not premiere on the previously set date of June 4. Yash has confirmed that while the film is complete, the focus is currently on finalizing distribution deals worldwide. He indicated that this decision was made to ensure the film achieves global success.
