On July 21, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Joseph Vijay, welcomed rapper Arivu to his office to discuss concerns raised during a protest. Arivu, along with three others, attempted to demonstrate near the Secretariat in Chennai, advocating for the abolition of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET). This protest coincided with ongoing demonstrations in Delhi, where activists were calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over similar issues. The police detained Arivu after he shouted slogans urging CM Vijay to take action.
