Suwati Anand gained recognition for her portrayal of Manjusha in the popular series Pavitra Rishta, produced by Ekta Kapoor. The show featured Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput in leading roles, with Suwati playing a character that had both light and dark traits. In a recent interview with a media outlet, she shared intriguing insights about the relationship between Sushant and Ankita, revealing their deep affection for one another. She noted that they often had disagreements but would quickly reconcile. Tragically, Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020.

During her candid conversation, Suwati Anand recounted how swiftly Sushant and Ankita fell in love. She mentioned, “Sushant joined Pavitra Rishta at the end of June, and by September, they were dating. It was surprising how quickly they connected. By September, they were living together, sharing a flat and a car, and they openly expressed their love for each other.”



She added, “They would argue over trivial matters but always made up quickly. Their love was evident.”

When discussing her role as a negative character in Pavitra Rishta, Suwati explained that Manjusha was not purely negative but rather a complex character. She shared, “I received a call from Balaji for the role. During the narration, Ekta Kapoor assured me that my character was unique and not just a villain. I owe much of the character's popularity to Ravindra Gautam, who directed the show. My entry scene was filmed multiple times to get it right.”



Suwati expressed her fondness for her co-stars, stating, “I miss everyone from the show, especially Savita Prabhune ji, who has been like a mother and mentor to me. I still keep in touch with Parag Desai, Ankita Lokhande, and others. We spent 4.5 years together, practically living as a family.”

Following the CBI's closure report regarding Sushant Singh Rajput's death, which concluded that he died by suicide without foul play, Suwati expressed her disbelief. She remarked, “I cannot accept that he would take his own life. He was a unique individual with so much potential. The CBI's findings are hard for me to comprehend.” Suwati has also appeared in various other shows, including Kumkum Bhagya, Naagin, and Karam Apnaa Apnaa.
