During a recent media session, Sufi was questioned about the nature of Harshad and Shivangi's relationship. He firmly stated, "No, they are not in love with each other. They are just overdramatic best friends. I think so. Because they have never spoken about love with each other." He elaborated that his time spent with both actors on the show led him to this conclusion. Sufi suggested that the streaming service might have manipulated the footage with editing and background music, contributing to the speculation.

He further explained that the rumors may have been fueled by Shilpa's playful comments referring to them as 'lovebirds', which could have led viewers to question the authenticity of their friendship. Sufi remarked, "It also happened because Shilpa ma’am kept calling them ‘lovebirds’, wouldn’t they wonder if it’s true? There was no such narrative till then."

When asked about Shivangi giving her clips to Harshad and him offering her his handkerchief, Sufi noted that such gestures are simply cute and part of their interactions. "It’s just cute, so all of this happens. Let them be, let them be cute, nice people," he added.
