Spider-Man: Brand New Day Set for Digital Release – What Fans Need to Know!
Spider-Man's Latest Adventure Hits Home Entertainment
After a successful theatrical run, the newest installment in the Spider-Man series, titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is gearing up for its home entertainment debut. Sony Pictures has announced that fans can purchase or rent the film digitally starting October 6, featuring the beloved duo of Tom Holland and Zendaya.
The film's transition to premium video-on-demand (PVOD) comes just over two months following its initial release in theaters. Starting at midnight ET, viewers in the United States will have access to the film through major digital platforms such as Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango, and Sony Pictures Core, offering various ways to enjoy the latest chapter of Spider-Man's adventures.
Pricing for Digital and Physical Formats
For those choosing the digital option, the film will be available for purchase at $29.99, with a 48-hour rental priced at $24.99. Notably, Prime Video users can rent or buy the film without needing a specific membership.
For collectors, pre-orders for the film on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray are already open, with a release date set for December 15, 2026. Each physical copy will come with a digital code, allowing access to the film on compatible devices. Additionally, a limited collector’s edition is available for those looking for a more extensive package.
Streaming Availability on the Horizon
While the digital and physical release dates are confirmed, details regarding subscription-based streaming are still pending due to existing distribution agreements. Currently, there is no set date for the film's arrival on Netflix. However, under a long-term pay-TV agreement between Sony Pictures and Netflix, it is anticipated that the film will eventually be added to Netflix's library in the United States, as this deal encompasses Sony’s theatrical releases, including Marvel adaptations.
In addition to Netflix, the film may also find its way to a Disney-owned streaming service, thanks to a separate multi-year agreement between Sony and Disney that covers the US streaming rights for Sony’s theatrical films released from 2022 to 2026, typically activated after the initial pay-TV window concludes.
