Telugu Film 'Peddi' Surpasses ₹100 Crore Mark in Just Three Days
Peddi's Box Office Success
Despite facing stiff competition from films like Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Bandar, and Masters of the Universe, the Telugu movie Peddi has managed to maintain its stronghold at the Indian box office. The film achieved a remarkable milestone by crossing the ₹100 crore threshold within just three days of its release. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, this sports drama features Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles and has been generating significant buzz online since its debut. While the film has received a mixed reception, it has faced criticism regarding the portrayal of Janhvi's character.
Box Office Collection on Day 3
As reported by Sacnilk, Peddi garnered ₹28.85 crore nett on its third day from 9,018 screenings, bringing its cumulative earnings to ₹125.25 crore. The film saw a 7.2% increase in revenue compared to its second day. The Telugu and Hindi versions have performed particularly well, with collections of ₹25.60 crore and ₹2.80 crore, respectively. Additionally, the film was released in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Here’s a detailed look at its domestic earnings:
Day 0 - ₹18.50 crore
Day 1 - ₹51.00 crore
Day 2 - ₹26.90 crore
Day 3 - ₹28.85 crore (early estimates)
Total: ₹125.25 crore
Given its current momentum, Peddi has the potential to become Ram Charan's biggest solo success. If it performs well on its first Sunday, it could easily surpass the ₹150 crore mark by the end of its opening weekend. However, the film's production budget is speculated to be between ₹250 to ₹300 crore.
