Ranbir Kapoor has established himself as a leading figure in the film industry, captivating audiences with his recent performances and earning numerous accolades. His upcoming project has generated significant excitement among fans, particularly his portrayal of Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. As the film's first visuals are set to be unveiled on April 2, Kapoor, along with director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra, traveled to Los Angeles to present a sneak peek to a select audience during an IMAX screening.

During the event, the trio participated in a Q&A session, discussing various aspects of their film and characters. Kapoor emphasized that Lord Rama transcends mere mythological status, referring to him as a 'conscious keeper' and introducing the concept of 'Maryada Purushottam' to the western audience, which translates to the ideal man.
He stated, "Ram has been the guiding light for billions across the world for centuries. He teaches us about the human spirit amidst challenges, embodying compassion, courage, righteousness, and forgiveness. He is revered as Maryada Purushottam, representing the ideal man."

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios along with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana Part 1 is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026, with the second part following in Diwali 2027. In this epic tale, Ranbir Kapoor will portray Ram, while Sai Pallavi will take on the role of Sita, and Ravi Dubey has confirmed his part as Lakshman. Additionally, Kannada superstar Yash will portray Ravan. Ranbir is also set to appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film, Love & War, alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
