Chiranjeevi, the megastar of Indian cinema, has officially commenced shooting for his upcoming film, tentatively titled Mega158. The launch event took place in Hyderabad, featuring a grand puja ceremony attended by Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan, who performed the clap for the film's inaugural shot. Directed by Bobby Kolli, this film marks a significant moment in Chiranjeevi's illustrious career. He expressed his gratitude on social media, thanking his younger brother Pawan Kalyan for taking time out of his busy schedule to attend the ceremony. Chiranjeevi reminisced about the past, recalling how he had clapped for Pawan's debut film, Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi, three decades ago.

The actor posted images capturing the moment when Kalyan clapped for the first shot of Mega158. The photos depict a joyful atmosphere as the brothers celebrated together at the puja ceremony. Chiranjeevi reflected on the nostalgia of the moment, recalling how he was a prominent star when Pawan began his journey in the film industry with Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi in 1996.

Alongside Pawan Kalyan, Naga Babu was also present as a chief guest at the launch event. Chiranjeevi affectionately referred to Pawan as ‘Kalyan Babu’ in his note. Additionally, his daughter Sushmita Konidela played a significant role by switching on the camera for the launch. The event was particularly memorable as filmmaker VV Vinayak directed the first shot, while B Gopal and A Kodanadrami Reddy, along with Naga Babu, presented the script to the production team.

KVN Productions’ Venkat K Narayana was also in attendance. Notably, Mega158 represents Chiranjeevi’s second collaboration with director Bobby Kolli, following their previous project, Walter Veeraiya. The crew expressed their excitement over Pawan Kalyan's presence as a chief guest during the event.
