Sonu Sood Offers Free Shelter to Stranded Travelers in Dubai Amid Crisis
Humanitarian Gesture by Sonu Sood
New Delhi: Actor Sonu Sood has stepped up to provide free accommodation for travelers stuck in Dubai due to flight cancellations caused by the escalating conflict between the US and Iran in the Middle East.
On Wednesday, Sood took to social media platform X to share a heartfelt video message, extending his offer of shelter to anyone in need, regardless of their nationality.
He stated, "The ongoing war has left many travelers without a place to stay in Dubai. If you or someone you know is in this situation, we are here to provide safe accommodation at no cost. No nationality restrictions, just humanity. Please DM us on Instagram for assistance."
In his video, Sood reassured those affected, saying, "If you find yourself stranded in Dubai due to the current crisis, we want you to know that we have a place for you. We will ensure you receive free accommodation."
Sood specifically addressed Indian nationals, urging them in Hindi, "If any of our fellow Indians or anyone of any nationality is stuck in Dubai, please DM me on Instagram."
He mentioned that the free accommodation would be facilitated through Dugasta Properties until travelers could return to their homes.
This initiative comes in light of significant flight cancellations across the Middle East due to military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran.
In retaliation, Iran targeted US bases in the region, further complicating air travel in and out of Dubai and other Gulf cities.
Among those affected were several Indian celebrities, including Sonal Chauhan and Esha Gupta, who have since managed to return home safely.
This is not the first time Sood has engaged in humanitarian efforts.
The 52-year-old actor received accolades for his initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he organized transportation for thousands of stranded migrant workers across India.
He also provided relief during the Punjab floods in 2025.
