Mumbai: Actress Sonam Kapoor, who recently embraced motherhood, took to social media on Friday to share an intimate moment, posting a touching photo of herself cradling her newborn baby right after giving birth.

In her heartfelt caption, Sonam expressed, “Grateful beyond words.”

The first image shows Sonam resting in a hospital bed, lovingly holding her newborn, eyes closed, and a serene smile gracing her face.

The baby, snugly wrapped in a white cloth, appears to be sleeping soundly in her embrace.

In another candid shot, Sonam is seen sitting next to a hospital tray, dressed in cozy black loungewear while enjoying a meal.

For those who may not know, Sonam welcomed her second child, a son, on March 29 of this year.

She joyfully shared the news on social media, stating, “With immense gratitude and hearts full of love, we are delighted to announce the arrival of our baby boy on March 29, 2026. Our family has grown, and with his arrival, our hearts have expanded in the most beautiful way.”

The Raanjhanaa star also mentioned that her elder son, Vayu, is excited to have a little brother.

“Vayu is overjoyed to welcome his little brother, and we feel deeply blessed by this precious new life who has filled our home with happiness and grace,” she added.

“Sonam and Anand are thankful to embark on this beautiful new chapter as a family of four,” the post concluded.

For context, Sonam married businessman Anand Ahuja in a lavish ceremony in May 2018 after several years of dating.

The couple welcomed their first child, Vayu, in August 2022.
