A Nostalgic Comeback for the Virani Family

Nostalgia fills the air as Smriti Irani reprises her role as Tulsi Virani in the much-anticipated reboot of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which delves into the intricate dynamics of the Virani family. This revival, airing on Star Plus and JioHotstar, marks 25 years since the original series set the standard for daily soaps.

The premiere episode, which aired on Tuesday night, takes viewers back to the 38th wedding anniversary of Mihir and Tulsi, the central characters. Now, the quintessential daughter-in-law leads the Virani household at Shanti Niketan, beginning with a prayer to a tulsi plant while reciting the Gayatri Mantra.

The atmosphere is reminiscent of the show's debut in 2000, which captivated audiences for 1,800 episodes until 2008.

Notably, two significant characters, Ba and Savita Virani, have passed away, their memories preserved in photographs adorning the walls, as Tulsi reflects on the past and converses with them.

Many longtime fans eagerly tuned in, especially with BJP leader Smriti Irani making her return to acting after a significant break.
