Mumbai, July 13: Actress Shriya Pilgaonkar recently showcased a touching green initiative alongside her mother, the esteemed actress Supriya Pilgaonkar.
The mother-daughter duo planted 1,500 native saplings with the vision of establishing a mini forest that will soon serve as a habitat for various birds and wildlife.
Shriya took to her social media to share images from the planting site, where numerous saplings were arranged neatly across a vast area enveloped by vibrant greenery.
In one of her stories, she expressed, "Learning patience, resilience, compassion from saplings," while tagging her mother, Supriya Pilgaonkar.
In another post, she mentioned, "1500 indigenous saplings planted. To create a mini forest! Home to birds, bees and many more," adding, "@supriyapilgaonkar making dreams come true."
Supriya also shared a moment from their significant endeavor on her social media, urging others to “Do your bit.”
For those unfamiliar, Shriya is the daughter of renowned actors Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar. She began her acting journey with the Marathi film 'Ekulti Ek' alongside her father and has since made her mark in Hindi cinema.
Her notable works include 'Fan', 'Mirzapur', 'The Broken News', 'Taaza Khabar', 'Crackdown', and the French series 'The Gone Game', among others.
Supriya Pilgaonkar has been a prominent figure in the Indian film and television landscape for over 40 years, primarily focusing on Marathi and Hindi productions.
She is celebrated for her roles in popular shows and films such as 'Tu Tu Main Main', 'Sasural Genda Phool', 'Awara Paagal Deewana', and numerous Marathi films.
