Shraddha Kapoor Exits Thriller Project Amid Fee Dispute: Director Responds

Shraddha Kapoor has reportedly left an upcoming thriller directed by Rahi Anil Barve due to a fee disagreement with producer Ekta Kapoor. Director Barve has responded to the rumors on social media, urging fans to await an official announcement. Meanwhile, Kapoor is confirmed for Stree 3, set for release in 2027, and is rumored to be in talks for other projects. This situation has sparked significant interest in the Bollywood community.

Shraddha Kapoor's Departure from Upcoming Thriller

Shraddha Kapoor was initially set to star in a thriller directed by Rahi Anil Barve, known for his work on Tumbbad, and produced by Ekta Kapoor. However, recent reports indicate that the actress has exited the project due to a disagreement over her fee. Kapoor was reportedly asking for ₹17 crore along with a share of the film's profits, a figure that Ekta Kapoor deemed excessive, particularly for a film centered around a female lead. Concerns arose among the producers that such a high fee could disrupt the overall budget.

In response to the swirling rumors, director Rahi Anil Barve took to social media to clarify the situation without naming anyone directly. He posted on X (formerly Twitter), urging followers not to believe the circulating rumors and assured that an official announcement would be made at the appropriate time.

According to Bombay Times, Barve chose not to elaborate on Shraddha's exit, simply stating, "These are all rumours. Everything is a rumour." He added that he is currently focused on completing his project Rakt Brahmand and is working on his next film.

On the other hand, Shraddha Kapoor has confirmed her involvement in Stree 3, which is set to hit theaters on August 13, 2027. Additionally, there are speculations about her potential collaborations with producers Dinesh Vijan, Bhushan Kumar, and Boney Kapoor for future projects, although no official confirmations have been made.
