However, a report from Filmfare has clarified that Shahid's involvement is merely a rumor, stating, "Any speculation regarding his casting in the film is entirely incorrect." The film is expected to begin shooting in October and will explore a storyline centered around soul swapping. Amit Ravindranath Sharma gained recognition for his successful film Badhaai Ho, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, and Gajraj Rao. He also directed a segment in the Netflix anthology Lust Stories 2 in 2023 and the sports biopic Maidaan, which was released in theaters in April 2024.
