Shah Rukh Khan's 'King' Faces Music Changes Ahead of Release
Major Update on 'King's Music Composition
Shah Rukh Khan's highly anticipated film 'King' has been generating buzz long before its premiere. From its star-studded cast to the much-anticipated release date, the film has been a constant topic of conversation. Recently, a significant update has surfaced regarding the film's music composition.
Reports indicate that music composer Anirudh Ravichander has withdrawn from the project due to his packed schedule. However, he will still contribute a special theme track for Shah Rukh Khan. The film's songs and background score will now be managed by the music duo Sachin-Jigar.
Reasons Behind Anirudh's Departure
Sources suggest that Anirudh and the film's producers mutually agreed on this decision. With numerous commitments in the South, Anirudh found it challenging to allocate the necessary time for a large-scale film like 'King'.
Moreover, Shah Rukh Khan and director Siddharth Anand are eager to ensure the film's release this Christmas. Consequently, adjustments to the music team were deemed necessary.
In addition, Anirudh is approaching a significant personal milestone, as he is set to marry Kavya Maran, the CEO of Sunrisers Hyderabad, in November.
Anirudh's Influence Remains
Even though Anirudh is stepping back from the project, his musical touch will still be present in 'King'. As a tribute to Shah Rukh Khan, he has created a theme track that Sachin-Jigar will integrate into the film's overall score. This way, Anirudh's essence will continue to resonate within the film, while Sachin-Jigar will handle the complete music album and score.
Mixed Reactions to 'Tu Mil Jaaye'
On November 2, coinciding with his birthday, Shah Rukh Khan unveiled the film's first song, 'Tu Mil Jaaye', at midnight. This romantic number features him alongside Deepika Padukone.
The song has received a mixed reception from listeners. While Arijit Singh's vocals, the melody, and the chemistry between Shah Rukh and Deepika have garnered praise, some critics find the music and overall style somewhat repetitive.
Concerns have also been raised regarding the song's visuals, editing, and the styling of the lead actors. Additionally, Ed Sheeran's English rap has sparked discussions, with some comparing the track to songs from Siddharth Anand's earlier films. The composition of the song is credited to Sachin-Jigar.
