The duo is currently enjoying the success of their recent film, Maa Inti Bangaaram. Raj wrote the story and screenplay, and co-produced the film alongside Vasanth Maringanti and Prahas Boppudi. The film, featuring Samantha in the lead role, has been well-received, grossing over Rs 73 crore at the box office. It tells the story of Swarna, also known as Jhansi, a former assassin seeking to leave her violent past behind. After marrying into a traditional family, she struggles to adapt to the strict household norms and cultural expectations. The film also stars Gulshan Devaiah and Diganth Manchale.

Recently, Raj revealed that a sequel is already in the works. At an event, he mentioned having an exciting concept for the next installment, stating, "The same team will work on it. For the first time, I am inspired to make another part. It will have double the fun and double the excitement. I will come back and tell you more about it later." Maa Inti Bangaaram is not the first collaboration between Samantha and Raj; they have previously worked together on The Family Man Season 2, Citadel: Honey Bunny, and Subham. The couple grew closer during these projects and tied the knot at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore in December 2025.
