Exciting Projects Ahead for Salman Khan

Bollywood icon Salman Khan is gearing up for not one, but two thrilling projects that fans can look forward to! He will star alongside Chitrangada Singh in Apoorva Lakhia's film titled Maatrubhumi, which is set to hit theaters later this year. Following this, Salman will also be featured in a film currently referred to as SVC63. The actor made the announcement on social media, revealing his collaboration with director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju, with Nayanthara cast as the female lead. The question remains: who will play the villain? Reports suggest that Akshaye Khanna and Fahadh Faasil are both being considered for this role.

Who Will Be the Villain in SVC63?

As reported by Mid Day, the first shooting schedule for SVC63 has been completed, with plans for the next phase to take place in Manali. Following that, filming in Hyderabad is expected to commence. However, the production team aims to finalize the villain before heading to Hyderabad. Sources indicate that both Akshaye and Fahadh are in discussions, as the script requires an actor who can match Salman’s presence. The decision is taking time since both actors bring unique qualities to the table. Interestingly, Arvind Swamy was also previously considered for the role.

It is anticipated that the confrontational scenes between Salman and the antagonist will be filmed during the Hyderabad schedule. This film marks Salman's inaugural collaboration with Nayanthara, as well as with both the director and producer. SVC63 is slated for a grand release during Eid 2027. Salman explained the reasoning behind the film's release timeline, stating, "Thoda durr ki sochna chahiye, That’s why announced Eid….. Don’t worry iss wali ka bhi bataenge, when the time is right……" on Instagram.

Salman Khan's Current Projects

On the professional front, Salman's film Maatrubhumi was initially set for an April release, but the date has been postponed, with a new date yet to be announced. This project was previously known as Battle of Galwan and is inspired by the clash between Indian and Chinese forces in the Galwan Valley.

Salman's last theatrical release was AR Murugadoss' Sikandar, featuring Rashmika Mandanna, which also starred Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Sathyaraj, Jatin Sarna, and Sanjay Kapoor.
