What Caused the Delay?
Maatrubhumi Faces Delay Again?
According to reports, the Central Board of Film Certification has not yet granted the clearance certificate for Salman Khan's Maatrubhumi. This film, which is said to depict the 2020 Galwan Valley clash, may not make its anticipated August release. The filmmakers have not yet provided any comments on this situation, and fans are eagerly awaiting an official announcement regarding the new release date.
Furthermore, it has been reported that the film faced accusations of misrepresenting the events surrounding the Galwan Valley clash, which involved Indian and Chinese soldiers in 2020. The Ministry of External Affairs had previously stated that filmmaking issues in India are managed by the appropriate authorities.
In response to inquiries about Maatrubhumi, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal clarified that while they are aware of the film's development, the Ministry does not intervene in such projects. He stated, "We understand that a film of this nature is being planned. Issues regarding filmmaking in India, as you are well aware, are looked after by the relevant authorities. And as far as we are concerned, MEA has no role in this or such ventures."
A Unique Take on War
Maatrubhumi is Not a Conventional War Film?

Instead, it aims to highlight the human aspects of a soldier's life, exploring the emotional complexities of balancing life on the battlefield with life at home. The source emphasized that Salman Khan is not merely acting in this film; he is deeply involved in shaping its essence, ensuring that the narrative resonates with audiences on a profound emotional level.
In addition to this project, Salman Khan is also collaborating with Vamshi Paidipally on SVC63, where he will share the screen with Nayanthara. This film is slated for release during Eid 2027.
