Exciting News for Salman Khan Fans
Mumbai: Fans of Salman Khan are eagerly awaiting the release of his upcoming film, Battle of Galwan, which has recently undergone a title change.
On Monday, Salman Khan Films officially revealed that the film will now be known as Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace.
This announcement was made alongside a captivating new poster that emphasizes the poignant message: 'May War Rest in Peace.'
The newly released poster features Salman Khan peering from behind a blood-stained wooden log adorned with a spiked chain.
While the film draws inspiration from the significant events at Galwan Valley, its title conveys a message that transcends the battlefield. The announcement has ignited discussions on social media, with many applauding the strong sentiment and the bold position it takes, particularly in the current political climate.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, this film is a cinematic portrayal of the real-life incidents that occurred on June 15, 2020, when Indian soldiers engaged with Chinese forces in the Galwan Valley. The narrative will focus on Colonel Santosh Babu, portrayed by Salman Khan, and the 16 Bihar Regiment, who were responsible for implementing a disengagement agreement along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
Alongside Salman, the film features Chitrangda Singh as the female lead, with Abhilash Chaudhary and Ankur Bhatia in pivotal roles.
Himesh Reshamiya has been brought on board as the music composer for Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace.
In the first look poster, Salman sports a mustache for his soldier character, exuding a fierce demeanor with a bloodied face and a look of intense determination.
