Salman Khan's New Family Residence

Salman Khan is embarking on a new project to build a six-story, sea-facing residence for his family in Bandra, which has received approval from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA). The property is registered under the name of his mother.

**Proximity to Galaxy Apartments**
Since 1974, Salman Khan has resided at Galaxy Apartments. After decades, he is now constructing a new family home in the Chimbai area of Bandra, conveniently located near his current residence.

**Construction Details**
As per sources from MCZMA, the new house will be built on land owned by Salma Khan, Salman’s mother. The site previously contained a two-story building that was demolished due to its poor condition. The new structure will include a ground floor, stilt parking, and six additional floors, covering approximately 1,014 square meters. Sach Developers will handle the construction, with the initial permit granted by the BMC in October 2025.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that no trees will be removed during the construction process. Instead, native species will be planted on the property and in the surrounding area. This new home is expected to provide Salman Khan and his family with enhanced privacy, as it will be situated on a quieter lane, away from the main thoroughfare. There has been no official comment from Salman Khan regarding this development.

**Security Considerations for the New Home**
In light of a shooting incident in 2024, where assailants targeted Galaxy Apartments, Salman Khan's security measures have been significantly increased. The balcony he used to greet fans has been fortified with bulletproof glass. It is likely that the design of the new residence will also prioritize his safety.
