She will not only star in but also serve as an executive producer for a limited series adaptation of Jeffrey Eugenides' celebrated novel 'The Marriage Plot' for FX. This new role signifies a shift from her previous supernatural characters, exploring the intricate themes of love and identity among young adults.

As reported by a leading entertainment outlet, the adaptation will be penned by Will Arbery, with Hiro Murai, known for his direction in 'Atlanta' and 'Widow's Bay', at the helm. The series is described as a story revolving around three recent college graduates caught in a love triangle, as they navigate their romantic dreams amidst the challenges of adulthood and the pivotal decisions that define their futures.

The novel, which debuted in 2011, garnered widespread acclaim and was included in various best-of lists that year. Gina Balian, president of FX Entertainment, expressed her excitement for the project, emphasizing its potential for "ambitious, character-driven storytelling."
