In 2025, Ruchi filed a complaint against Karan Singh, the producer of the Hindi film So Long Valley, alleging that he defrauded her of Rs 23 lakh under the pretense of launching a television project. The Oshiwara police registered an FIR against him. According to a police spokesperson, Ruchi accused Singh of failing to deliver on promises of profit-sharing and on-screen recognition after receiving the funds.
