The 2-minute and 38-second teaser showcases Ranbir in the role of Maryada Purshottam. Prior to its launch in India on Hanuman Janmotsav, which falls on April 2, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra traveled to the United States for a special screening in Los Angeles, where they engaged with fans and media. About Ramayana
In addition to Ranbir, the film features Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, and Arun Govil as Dashrath. Kajal Aggarwal will play Mandodari, while Rakul Preet Singh portrays Shurpanakha. The ensemble also includes Amitabh Bachchan as Jatayu and the film's narrator, Vivek Oberoi as Vidyut Jihva, Suhail Nayyar as Sugriva, and Kunal Kapoor as Indra. Ramayana: Part 1 is set to hit Indian theaters during Diwali 2026, with the second part currently in production for a 2027 release.
