Ram's cousin, actress and producer Niharika Konidela, was unaware of the situation until a reporter informed her during a press event for her film, Rakasa. She was visibly distressed upon hearing about Ram's injury.

During the press conference, Niharika arrived late due to flight delays. While speaking with the media, she learned about Ram's injury from a reporter. In a video clip, she appeared shocked when the reporter referred to it as an 'accident' on the set of Peddi. Niharika expressed her surprise, saying, 'Huh?' and gently reprimanded the reporter for not informing her sooner. She remarked, 'Sir, is this how you tell me? I ran here from the flight and didn’t even use my phone, sir,' showing her concern for her brother. At the end of the event, she told the reporter that he was alarming her and needed to take a call.

Fortunately, Ram Charan is recovering well after undergoing a minor surgical procedure. The production team of Peddi released a statement assuring fans that he is in good health. They clarified, 'We'd like to address the recent chatter surrounding a minor incident on the sets of Peddi. We want to assure everyone that Ram Charan Garu is absolutely fine and doing well. He had a minor injury to the left eye on the sets, and there was a small procedure done. He will be resuming the shoot tomorrow with no disruptions to the schedule. We appreciate the concern, but there is no cause for worry. Everything is under control, and the film continues to move forward smoothly.'
