Rakul Preet Singh Shares Insights on Her Upcoming Film

Mumbai: Actress Rakul Preet Singh has expressed her excitement about collaborating once again with actor Ayushmann Khurrana and director Mudassar Aziz for the upcoming film Pati Patni Aur Woh Do. She emphasized that working with friends makes the process much more enjoyable.

Rakul's first collaboration with Ayushmann was in the 2022 medical comedy-drama Doctor G, which also featured Shefali Shah. The narrative follows Ayushmann’s character, Uday, a medical student who aspires to specialize in orthopaedics but finds himself in the field of gynaecology instead.

In addition, she previously teamed up with director Aziz for the 2025 film Mere Husband Ki Biwi, starring Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. This film tells the story of Ankur, a divorced man who gets a second chance at love when his college sweetheart reappears, only to complicate matters further with the return of his amnesiac ex-wife.

Reflecting on her experience of reuniting with both Ayushmann and Aziz, Rakul noted how their familiarity contributed to a more relaxed atmosphere on set.

She stated, “What felt different this time was the ease of working together. Since it’s not our first collaboration, we understand each other's approach to the film and scenes. This comfort enhances the experience, making it simpler and more enjoyable. Being friends with everyone involved definitely makes the process easier.”

The film also features Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi in significant roles.

Set against the backdrop of Prayagraj, the plot unfolds during a wedding that spirals into chaos due to a series of misunderstandings and comedic twists.
