Rakul Preet Singh Responds to Jackky Bhagnani's 'Situationship' Comment
Actor and producer Jackky Bhagnani stirred up some controversy by referring to his marriage with actress Rakul Preet Singh as a 'situationship'. In response, Rakul took to social media to encourage everyone to simply 'laugh about it and move on'. She shared a humorous video on her Instagram Stories, playfully reprimanding Jackky for his choice of words. In the clip, she remarked, "How many times have I told him that we are Millennials, there is no need to act like Gen Z." Jackky clarified that he did not mean for his comment to be interpreted in that way.
Rakul Preet Singh's Lighthearted Take on the Situation
Jackky apologized, stating, "I am sorry. But I did not mean it like that." Rakul responded, "I know, but the world needs to know. It's okay. Considering you guys are not stopping, we thought we would also have a laugh about it." The video included the text, "Hogaya AAP log ka bhi ab...laugh about it and move on..." along with a red heart emoji.
Recently, the couple discussed their decision to marry each other. Jackky mentioned, “Rakul and I are married, but we are like in a situationship, which is, of course, we are exclusive to each other because that’s why we are married. But the most important thing is that I can talk to her about anything."
Jackky Bhagnani Clarifies His Statement
Later, Rakul took to her Instagram stories to address the viral comment, saying, “We had a great laugh today about how one line from an hour-long conversation can suddenly become the headline. Funny... until it’s not. Context matters. Nuance matters. Conversations deserve better than being reduced to clickbait. Maybe it’s time platforms take a little more responsibility for the narratives they create.”
Reports suggest that Rakul and Jackky are set to marry on February 21, 2024, in Goa, although official confirmation is still awaited. The couple has been dating for some time, and their chemistry has captured the attention of fans. While Jackky has stepped back from acting to focus on his father's production company, Rakul continues to be active in the film industry. She is set to appear in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, and Wamiqa Gabbi, with the film scheduled for release on May 15, 2026.
