In an interview with Indian Express, Yadav took the opportunity to counter Priyadarshan's assertion that his troubles were due to a lack of education. He firmly stated that such a belief is misguided, asserting that if he were poorly educated, he wouldn't have thrived in the industry for over 25 years. He emphasized, "I am a well-educated individual, having worked since I was 11. Even the most successful people face challenges, which are unrelated to their educational background."
Upcoming Projects and Industry Support
Yadav also mentioned that the full story behind his situation is not known to many in the industry, making their judgments irrelevant. Despite the controversy, he is set to star in the upcoming film Bhoot Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan. He elaborated on his future projects, stating, "I have Welcome To The Jungle, featuring 27 actors, and Haiwaan, where I have a small yet impactful role. Additionally, I am involved in two web series and two other films, details of which I cannot disclose at this time."
Priyadarshan's Initial Comments
What was Priyadarshan's comment
In a February 14 interview with a media outlet, Priyadarshan expressed his support for Yadav during the legal proceedings. He revealed that he had urged producers of their upcoming film to offer Yadav a higher payment than usual. Priyadarshan claimed to have been aware of Yadav's situation for some time and had been assisting him, even encouraging him to sign advertising contracts. He remarked, "The poor guy made a blunder because of his poor education. Rajpal is a good soul." Several Bollywood personalities, including Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Sonu Sood, have also extended their support to Yadav, helping him secure relief from imprisonment. On February 12, 2026, the actor was released on interim bail.
