Renowned superstar Rajinikanth is celebrated not only for his iconic presence and charisma on screen but also for his knack for sharing amusing stories from his life during public appearances. Recently, he recounted a deeply personal and humbling moment from his visit to The Art of Living International Centre, coinciding with the 45th anniversary of the ashram and the 70th birthday of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Despite his immense fame and dedicated fanbase, the Jailer 2 star revealed how an unexpected encounter at the ashram shifted his views on celebrity and ego.

Rajinikanth's Eye-Opening Experience at the Ashram

In a video that has gained traction online, Rajinikanth reminisces about his initial visit to the ashram, captivated by its serene beauty and tranquil environment. “The lush greenery, the lake, and the cheerful faces of the people were enchanting. There was even an elephant, horses, and hundreds of cows… One of the horses was named Rajini,” he humorously shared, eliciting laughter from the audience.

Although he intended to stay for just two days, Rajinikanth ended up spending 15 days at the ashram. He recounted a transformative incident where Sri Sri Ravi Shankar invited him for a tour. Initially, he was reluctant, fearing that throngs of fans would swarm him for photos and autographs. However, the reality was quite the opposite. He humorously noted that he expected people to recognize him, yet amidst the crowd, not a single person acknowledged his presence. Despite his attempts to wave at attendees, he was met with silence. “Forget about photos and autographs; not one person spoke to me. That experience was a blow to my ego,” Rajinikanth confessed.
