Mumbai, Oct 29: Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas is once again embracing the traditions of Karwa Chauth, continuing her yearly celebrations.
The actress took to social media to showcase her Karwa Chauth mehendi, which featured an intricate design that included her husband Nick Jonas' name.
In her post, she wrote, “Piya ke naam ki.. happy karwachauth to all those celebrating,” sharing the festive spirit with her followers.
Additionally, Priyanka shared a story on her social media, giving a closer look at her mehendi and inquiring about a traditional method believed to enhance its color.
“The question is, will the chashni work? IYKYK,” she mentioned, referring to the practice of applying sugar syrup to dried mehendi to maintain moisture and deepen the color.
For those unfamiliar, Chashni is a common technique used to achieve a richer hue in mehendi designs.
Priyanka, who is married to Nick Jonas, consistently shares her efforts to uphold her cultural traditions while living abroad, ensuring that her daughter Malti Marie remains connected to Indian customs and celebrations.
Previously, she provided a glimpse into their Dussehra festivities at their home in Los Angeles, which included rituals such as Pooja, Shivling Abhishek, and Havan, along with Kanya Pujan, where Nick was seen washing Malti's feet. Malti was dressed adorably in an ivory outfit with a red scarf that read “Jai Mata Di.”
In another video, Priyanka was seen teaching Malti a verse from the Durga Saptashati, guiding her as the young girl attempted to recite the Sanskrit prayer, “Sarva Mangala Mangalye…”.
