Pranit More Addresses Controversy After Instagram Suspension
Pranit More's Return to Social Media
Comedian Pranit More has made a comeback on Instagram following the suspension of his account due to the recent controversy surrounding his Rs 370 biryani joke. In a heartfelt statement, he expressed regret for unintentionally offending anyone. More acknowledged that the backlash he faced was warranted, as he could have intervened when derogatory remarks were made during his crowd work.
In an Instagram video, he stated, 'I have wanted to address this for a long time, but my Instagram was suspended. You may have seen a crowd work video of mine that received a lot of hate, and I believe I deserve this criticism because I let derogatory comments slide while everyone was laughing, and I got carried away. This was a significant lapse in my judgment. I could have stopped that person and taken a stand, but I failed to do so. I inadvertently gave him a platform, which led to the escalation of these issues. I sincerely apologize to anyone who was hurt by this.' He also mentioned that he is cooperating with the authorities regarding any legal actions taken against him and requested a chance to improve, promising to work on himself and his content moving forward.
In light of the incident, the Maharashtra Cyber Police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against More and Himanshu Jangra, a resident of Gurgaon, who made inappropriate comments about expecting sexual favors from his date.
