Reflecting on Extraordinary Attorney Woo

Park Eun-Bin Looks Back at Her Experience

While promoting The WONDERfools, Park took a moment to reflect on her time in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, discussing the significant pressure she encountered during filming. She admitted that the extensive dialogue left her feeling "mentally exhausted" and pushed her acting skills to their limits. In a recent video shared by Netflix Korea, she elaborated on the difficulties of portraying Woo Young-Woo, a talented rookie lawyer on the autism spectrum who has captured the hearts of K-drama fans worldwide.

Overcoming Challenges with Limited Preparation

Challenges Due to Time Constraints

Park shared that the production workload was daunting, particularly due to the lengthy dialogues in many scenes, especially in courtroom settings that required uninterrupted legal explanations. The 33-year-old actress noted that some scenes contained up to 15 to 20 pages of dialogue, leaving minimal time for breaks or thorough rehearsals. "I think my brain got worse after memorising so many lines back then," she remarked. She also mentioned that she had very little time to prepare, as filming for the drama commenced just two weeks after she completed another significant project, The King's Affection (2021). This tight timeline forced her to approach filming on a day-to-day basis rather than preparing well in advance.

Park explained that her experience on this series was different from her usual filming processes, as she often had to "lower her own expectations" while working on it. "There was so much dialogue that mistakes were inevitable, and I’m usually quite good at avoiding errors during shoots." The responsibility of the show added to her stress, as her performance was crucial to its success. Despite the challenges, Park expressed that the experience significantly boosted her confidence as an actress, serving as a training ground that pushed her beyond her previous limits. Additionally, Extraordinary Attorney Woo is reportedly set to return with a new season, with more details anticipated soon.
