Following the viral spread of the song 'Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke' due to its controversial lyrics and visuals, it was subsequently taken down from YouTube. The National Commission for Women has issued summons to Nora Fatehi, Sanjay Dutt, and others involved in the project, acting on its own accord after noting media reports that raised alarms about the song's content.

Summons Issued by the National Commission for Women

As reported by a news outlet, the National Commission for Women, utilizing its authority under the National Commission for Women Act of 1990, stated that the song's visuals and lyrics seem to be sexually suggestive and objectionable. The Commission highlighted that the content could infringe upon various legal provisions, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Information Technology Act of 2000, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act of 2012.

They are required to appear before the Commission on March 24, 2026, at 12:30 PM, bringing any relevant documents. Additionally, the National Human Rights Commission intervened on March 17, issuing a notice regarding the song's allegedly offensive lyrics.
