Japanese actor Nijiro Murakami, who gained popularity in 2020 for his role as Chishiya in the Netflix series Alice in Borderland, is currently embroiled in legal issues following serious allegations of assault against his former partner. Reports indicate that he allegedly inflicted injuries on her that required over a month to heal. Earlier this year, Nijiro confessed to physically assaulting her. The Tokyo police have now escalated the matter to prosecutors to decide on potential charges.

As per various Japanese media outlets, the 29-year-old actor is accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend multiple times between March and May 2024 at their residence in Shibuya, Tokyo. Allegations include him pulling her hair and forcefully slamming her head against a window, as well as punching her in the face. The injuries were severe enough that she sought help from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department regarding the incidents.



During a voluntary questioning session, Nijiro reportedly acknowledged, "There's no doubt that I injured her." Following their investigation, the Tokyo police have referred the case to prosecutors, who are currently reviewing the evidence to determine if formal charges will be filed. As of now, the actor has not made any public comments regarding the situation, and his talent agency has also refrained from discussing the ongoing legal matters.
