A Sweet Snapshot of Fatherhood

Mumbai: Nick Jonas, the American pop sensation, recently delighted fans by posting a touching image of himself kissing his baby daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, on social media.

In this heartwarming image, Nick is seen lying next to his daughter, gently kissing her forehead.

Malti, dressed in adorable nightwear, is nestled on the bed, ready for sleep, with a heart emoji playfully covering part of her face.

In another recent post, Nick shared a moment from a cafe in Vancouver, where he was seen enjoying a drink.

He captioned that post, “Week 1 in Vancouver.”

Nick has often expressed his deep bond with his daughter and his affection for her.

Previously, he revealed that Malti faced serious health challenges right after her birth.

During his appearance on the On Purpose podcast, he recounted, “She came into the world under very intense circumstances. We were expecting her in April, but we received a call that she would arrive sooner.”

He continued, “We had to act quickly; she was born via surrogate. When we reached the hospital, she was just 1 pound, 11 ounces and appeared quite purple.”

Reports indicate that Malti spent nearly 100 days in a neonatal intensive care unit, and Nick described the experience as harrowing.

Reflecting on that time, he shared, “The angels at the NICU resuscitated her and took care of her swiftly. Due to COVID, my wife and I worked 12-hour shifts at the hospital for three and a half months. I can still recall the smell.”

He added, “It was a tough reality check, driving back and forth each day and seeing each other as passing ships. The NICU nurses are truly angels.”

For those who may not know, Nick and his superstar wife, Priyanka Chopra, welcomed their daughter Malti through surrogacy in January 2022, making her their first and only child so far.
