Min Hee-Jin Faces New Claims Amid Ongoing Dispute

Min Hee-Jin, the former CEO of ADOR, is once again in the spotlight due to fresh allegations regarding her involvement with NewJeans. A report released on July 4 KST suggests that she played a role in the group's independent activities and legal strategies during the ongoing conflict with the agency. This report also references evidence presented in a recent court session related to ADOR's lawsuit for damages. As of now, neither Min Hee-Jin nor representatives from NewJeans have commented on these new allegations, which remain unverified.

Was Min Hee-Jin Informed About NewJeans' Independent Activities?

The allegations, reported by Dispatch, stem from conversations involving Min Hee-Jin and her team, as well as documents revealed during the third hearing of ADOR's lawsuit on July 2. The report claims that Min was involved in organizing various independent activities for NewJeans, such as their participation in ComplexCon Hong Kong and photo shoots. It is alleged that she emphasized the need for confidentiality during these preparations and that the costs were covered by funds from the members' parents.

Furthermore, the report indicates that Min explored potential partnerships with a Chinese-backed company and sought to establish a dual-contract arrangement. It also claims that a livestream conducted by the members last September was part of a strategic legal plan for upcoming legal challenges.

Additionally, the report suggests that Min Hee-Jin publicly dismissed allegations of tampering, despite being aware of them, and was involved in formulating the legal arguments presented in court. Discussions with ADOR reportedly shifted from reconciliation to finding grounds for terminating the contract. The report also mentions that Danielle's mother was involved in discussions about the group's independent activities and legal strategies but did not disclose this during meetings with ADOR.

However, these allegations have not been independently verified, and as of now, there has been no public response from Min Hee-Jin or NewJeans' representatives.

What’s the Controversy Surrounding Danielle and ADOR?

Recently, ADOR claimed in court that Danielle engaged in unauthorized independent activities by secretly recording a song while still under contract. The agency has filed a lawsuit against Danielle alone, alleging that she and her mother attempted to hide a dual contract and breached the agency's trust. The next court hearing regarding ADOR's lawsuit against Danielle, her mother, and Min Hee-Jin is set for July 23.
