Netflix India Announces Diverse Slate of Upcoming Titles

On Tuesday, Netflix India unveiled an impressive array of upcoming content, featuring a mix of crime thrillers, relationship dramas, and reality shows. The new lineup promises engaging narratives centered around themes of legacy, fantasy inspired by folklore, and fierce maternal instincts.


The roster boasts a star-studded cast, including well-known actors such as Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Sunny Deol, and many others, ensuring a blend of talent across various genres.


While most of the series will be in Hindi, there are also several titles in Tamil and Telugu. It's important to note that the list is subject to change, as streaming platforms often adjust release dates based on production timelines.


Some titles were previously announced for 2025, including Glory, Toaster, and the second season of Kohrra, which is now set to premiere on February 11. Other titles like Toaster and Super Subbu will debut in the coming months.


Updates on Akka, featuring Radhika Apte and Keerthy Suresh, remain pending, as does news about the fantasy series Rakt Brahmand – The Bloody Kingdom, which stars Samantha Nidimoru and Aditya Roy Kapur.


A new installment of Lust Stories is also on the horizon, directed by notable filmmakers including Vishal Bhardwaj and Kiran Rao, featuring a talented ensemble cast.


Returning favorites include The Great Indian Kapil Show and Maamla Legal Hai, which will return for a second season.



Monika Shergill, Vice President of Content at Netflix India, emphasized the platform's commitment to showcasing the diverse narratives of India, stating, "India is one nation, made up of many Indias. Our work begins and continues with embracing all of them."


The announcement included synopses and trailers for several highlighted titles.


Hum Hindustani, directed by Rahul Dholakia, tells the story of the first election in India post-Independence, featuring a cast that includes Saif Ali Khan and Pratik Gandhi.



The legal drama Ikka, directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, features Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna in a gripping narrative about a lawyer facing a challenging case.



The Tamil series Legacy, directed by Charukesh Sekar, stars R Madhavan and explores themes of legacy and familial duty.



The Hindi series Family Business, co-created by Hansal Mehta, features Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma in a story about corporate rivalry.



The thriller-comedy Maa Behen, starring Madhuri Dixit, revolves around a family caught in a scandalous situation.



Talaash: A Mother’s Search, featuring Parineeti Chopra, follows a mother’s harrowing journey to find her abducted child.



Rajkummar Rao's production Toaster tells the story of a man's obsession with a gift he gave to a couple.



In Super Subbu, Sundeep Kishan plays a reluctant sex education teacher in a village.



Konkona Sensharma stars in Accused, a film about a surgeon facing serious allegations.



Viineet Kumar Siingh leads Hello Bachhon, a heartwarming tale about a physics teacher.



The Hindi show Musafir Cafe explores the connection between two characters amidst their relationships.
