Neelima Azeem Reflects on Shahid Kapoor's Childhood
During a special Mother's Day episode of Zoom's series, Letters To My Mom, Neelima candidly recounted this challenging period. She shared, "I lacked support from my then-partner, which led to many mistakes on my part. I was young and overwhelmed, and my child had to witness that. It wasn't an easy journey for him, but he was fortunate to have great grandparents who stepped in as loving caregivers. Until he turned nine, he lived with my parents, who played a significant role in his upbringing."
Neelima also shared her decision to pursue a more stable career path, which led her to become a full-time actress. She reminisced, "When I arrived in this city in 1990, I had just 4,500 rupees, which I earned on my own without any financial assistance from my family. It was a bold move to come to Bombay from Delhi with such a small amount. I never borrowed money from anyone; I managed everything independently."
She expressed gratitude for the role of fate in her life, feeling incredibly lucky. After relocating to Mumbai, she embarked on a new journey and quickly became one of the most beloved stars on television, gaining both national and international acclaim.
