Mystery Surrounds the Untimely Death of Odia Singer Humane Sagar: Mother Files Police Complaint
Investigation Launched into Humane Sagar's Death
Bhubaneswar: Sephali Suna, the mother of the late Odia playback singer Humane Sagar, has lodged a formal complaint at the Markat Nagar police station in Cuttack. She alleges that there may have been a conspiracy involving financial motives and pressure from Sagar's close associates leading to his premature death. In her statement, Suna named several individuals, including Sagar's wife, Shreya Mishra, and associates such as Subhendu Mishra, singer Arpita Choudhury and her family, Somesh Satpathy, and Md Abid (Bablu), expressing her suspicions regarding their roles in the circumstances surrounding Sagar's passing.
Suna has called for a comprehensive investigation into the matter, urging authorities to explore all possible angles, including harassment, intoxication, criminal negligence, and intimidation. She emphasized the need for the police to ensure that no evidence has been tampered with or destroyed. Additionally, Suna requested a thorough examination of Sagar's marital issues. The 36-year-old singer was receiving treatment for various health issues at AIIMS Bhubaneswar before he passed away on November 17, 2025.
