Fans began to suspect that all was not well between Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar when they noticed the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Adding to the speculation, Mouni's close friend, Disha Patani, also unfollowed Suraj. Reports indicated that Mouni had removed all photos featuring Suraj from her profile. On May 14, the couple confirmed their separation through a joint Instagram post. Shortly after, they resumed following each other, suggesting they are navigating their split amicably while expressing a desire to maintain their friendship.


Instagram Activity Sparks Rumors


Earlier this week, the lack of mutual following on Instagram raised eyebrows among fans. Disha's decision to unfollow Suraj further fueled the rumors. Eventually, Mouni and Suraj made their split public, stating, "We would like to announce that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably." Following this announcement, they reconnected on Instagram, although Disha has yet to follow Suraj again. Interestingly, Mouni has retained her wedding photos from their ceremonies in Goa, which included both Bengali and Malayali traditions. The couple first met on New Year’s Eve in Dubai in 2019 and were together for three years before marrying.


Upcoming Projects for Mouni Roy


After her role in The Bhootnii last year, Mouni is set to appear in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, alongside Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hedge. She will also make a special appearance in the Telugu film Vishwambhara. Additionally, Mouni is involved in Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming project, The Wives, where she described her character as the "craziest" she has portrayed in her career. Mouni began her journey in television with shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasturi, Do Saheliyaan, and Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, but it was her role in Naagin that catapulted her to international fame, leading her to transition into films and web series.
