This exciting news was revealed during the Vishu festival, accompanied by a captivating first-look poster that has generated significant buzz among fans. The poster showcases Mohanlal in a police uniform, set against the backdrop of Sabarimala pilgrims, sparking positive reactions across social media platforms. Following the success of their earlier collaboration, Thudarum, expectations are soaring for this new project, with fans eager to learn more about its storyline.

Mohanlal's L366 Is Now Athimanoharam
The title reveal of Athimanoharam during the Vishu celebrations took fans by surprise. Previously referred to as Mohanlal’s L366, which indicated the actor's film count, the new title comes with a striking first-look poster. The image features Mohanlal in a police outfit, hinting at the film's potential devotional themes while showcasing his charismatic persona. Fans have expressed their admiration for Mohanlal’s vintage appearance, complete with a twirled moustache. This film marks his return to a police character after a four-year hiatus, with his last role as a cop in Monster (2022), where he portrayed Shivdev IPS.

Reunion After Thudarum Success
Athimanoharam reunites Mohanlal with director Tharun Moorthy, following their successful partnership on Thudarum in 2025. The positive reception of their previous film has set high expectations for this new venture. Filming commenced on January 23 in Thodupuzha, Kerala, with Mohanlal expressing his gratitude and enthusiasm as he began shooting. Behind-the-scenes images have surfaced, showing the actor engaging with the crew.
Strong Technical Team Behind the Film
Athimanoharam features a robust technical team. The screenplay is crafted by Ratheesh Ravi, known for his character-driven narratives in films like Ishq and Adi, suggesting that this film may transcend typical cop dramas. The cinematography is managed by Shaji Kumar, while the music is composed by Jakes Bejoy. Editing is handled by National Award winner Vivek Harshan, with sound design by Vishnu Govind. Additional contributions from Binu Pappu (co-direction), Gokuldas (art direction), Mashar Hamza (costume design), and Ronex Xavier (makeup) further enhance the film’s creative foundation.
In addition to Athimanoharam, Mohanlal is preparing for his role in Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan, which features a stellar cast including Mammootty, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, and Kunchacko Boban. Meanwhile, his daughter, Vismaya Mohanlal, is set to make her acting debut in Thudakkam, directed by Jude Anthany Joseph.
