In her remarks on achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat, Mira stated, "For me, it’s about financial literacy for women. It’s crucial for women to be informed and educated about their earnings, whether they work in the organized or unorganized sectors. This includes understanding loans, insurance, and microcredit options, as well as government-sponsored schemes like Sukanya for their children."
She elaborated on the necessity of financial literacy for women, asserting, "Being financially literate fosters a sense of independence that can truly drive us towards the vision of Viksit Bharat. In a household, achieving an equal power dynamic is essential. If a woman earns, she must know how to manage her finances—investing, spending, saving, and running her household effectively, including educating her children and potentially starting a business." Mira emphasized, "Women must have control over their finances. While our culture has certain practices like Stree Dhan, a more structured approach starting from education at the grassroots level will empower women like nothing else can."
