Actress Mika Abdalla, who recently commenced shooting for the second season of the popular hockey romance series Off Campus on Amazon Prime Video, has ended her engagement with actor Jake Short. The couple, who had been together since 2021, got engaged after four years of dating. A spokesperson for Abdalla confirmed the split, stating that the two will continue to support each other and maintain a friendly relationship. They have requested privacy during this time.

In a statement to Us Weekly, Abdalla's representative mentioned, "Given the recent interest in Mika’s personal life, it is important to clarify that she and Jake are no longer together." The couple met while filming the Hulu movie Sex Appeal, where Abdalla portrayed Avery Hansen-White, a student exploring the complexities of love, while Short played her romantic interest, Larson. Their engagement was confirmed by Short’s manager, Brian Medavoy.

The upcoming season of Off Campus will adapt Elle Kennedy’s novel The Score, which is the third installment in the Off Campus series.
