Mariah May Leaves AEW, Set to Join WWE Amid Speculations

Mariah May, a notable figure in All Elite Wrestling, has seemingly confirmed her move to WWE after being removed from the AEW roster. Following her last appearance in a significant match against Toni Storm, speculation about her departure has intensified. Reports indicate that her contract did not include an option year, making her exit more likely. While she has not officially confirmed her new role, sources suggest she will soon join WWE programming. Stay tuned for more updates on her wrestling career as she transitions to one of the biggest promotions in the industry.

Mariah May's Departure from AEW

After nearly four months since her last appearance on All Elite Wrestling (AEW) television, Mariah May appears to be on her way to WWE. Although neither she nor WWE has officially confirmed this transition, her removal from the AEW roster suggests her departure is imminent.

Recent reports indicate that Mariah May has been taken off the AEW roster on the official website, signaling her exit from the organization. Sources within WWE have also indicated that she is expected to join the new promotion shortly.

Mariah May has not been seen in AEW since her notable match against Toni Storm at Revolution 2025, where they competed for the AEW Women’s World Championship. This match concluded their rivalry, and it was during this time that AEW learned of her intentions not to renew her contract, which explains why this highly praised match did not headline the event.

AEW Did Not Include Option Year in Mariah May's Contract

Further updates from Fightful Select reveal that Mariah May's exit from AEW was anticipated, particularly since her original contract, signed nearly two years ago, did not include an option year.

“AEW was well aware that she would be leaving the company, and sources near the top of WWE say that the wheels have been in motion for her to join WWE. The most surprising element within AEW was that Mariah May had a two-year deal with no additional option year for AEW.”

Although her contract with AEW has not officially expired, Fightful noted that she is not expected to return. Given that her two-year contract was signed in the summer of 2023, it is likely she will be available to perform in WWE by this summer.

These developments follow Mariah May's recent activity on her X/Twitter account, where she addressed rumors about her potential departure from AEW, stating she was on vacation rather than unemployed, as some fans speculated. It seems that once her vacation concludes, she will make her debut on WWE programming.
