During his conversation, Bajpayee shared, “Haan haan, bilkul. Ek nahi bohot logon ne kahan nahi ho payega, yeh chhod do. Iss line mein kisika kuch nahi hota hai” (Translation: Yes, definitely. Many told me I wouldn’t succeed in films and should give up. There’s nothing for anyone in this field.) He noted that he often hears similar discouragement from Gen-Z individuals regarding their aspirations.

When asked if he was ever encouraged to return to Bihar, he mentioned that while many relatives advised him to quit, none suggested he go back home. He emphasized that during his acting journey, he never felt the weight of criticism. Bajpayee elaborated on how his self-belief and determination guided him through the challenges of Hindi cinema. “NSD mein teen chaar baar nahi ho paya, tabhi nahi laga ki nahi ho payega. Mujhe laga yehi log galat hai. Ek passion tha, ek belief tha, aur conviction tha apne aap ko leke.” (Translation: I failed three to four times at NSD, but I never thought I couldn’t succeed. I believed those people were wrong. I had passion, faith in myself, and conviction about my path.) He concluded with a powerful mantra: “Don’t let anyone’s rejection define who you are and what you can achieve.”
